How To Test A Paper Cup?
Think your paper cup is plastic-free? Here's how you can find out in a few minutes.
- Apply water to the outside of the cup
- Rub it until the paper fibres begin to loosen
As you can see in the video, the PE-coated cup and the PLA-coated cup both leave a visible film behind; proof that plastic is present, even in cups marketed as eco-friendly.
The same test with a RAS Bio Cup reveals no film or residue.
